Fifty scientists race to document deep-sea life before mining destroys it. Blending mesmerising imagery with the reality that these fragile creatures cannot survive at the surface, the film explores the ethical tensions of scientific discovery. As the ocean’s secrets unfold, it asks a simple question: how deep is our love for the world we share?
After the screening in Bangor, there will be a special Q&A session with scientist Bethany Fleming, who is featured in the film, hosted by Dr Craig Robertson, marine ecologist and Lecturer in Marine Biology at Bangor University.
