When Danish-Nigerian director Jide Tom Akinleminu wants to document his father's life in Nigeria - a fundamental lie is discovered. His father has a second family, whom he has kept a secret from his Danish wife over thirty years of long-distance marriage. Through home videos, letters and interviews Jide tells a multi-layered story that sensitively works through the conflicts of African-European marriage. The result is a contemplative, mosaic portrait of different generations and cultures in which diverse ideas of love, relationships and identity collide.
