WOW Film Festival 2012

WOW Wales One World Film Festival Returns for 2012

Wales One World (WOW) film festival will return to cinema screens across Wales, launching at the award-winning Chapter Arts Centre (www.chapter.org) in Cardiff on Sunday 18 to Sunday 25 March, followed by a Wales-wide tour ending on Thursday 5 April.

Since its launch twelve years ago, WOW has been at the forefront of supporting and celebrating world cinema, bringing global film to local cinemas across Wales. Continuing in this spirit of discovery and diversity, the 2012 festival will include films from Argentina, Spain, Russia and the US.

WOW 2012 will also host the UK premier of French director Coline Serreau’s Think Global Act Rural in which Serreau sheds light on the positive steps being embraced by a cast of innovative farmers and food revolutionaries to address the global food crisis. Think Global Act Rural will also provide the over-arching theme to the opening weekend in Chapter Arts Centre, which will become a melting pot of film and food in a celebration of world dishes, local produce and sustainable solutions. Further details on workshops and events will be released in 2012.

WOW 2012 looks like a stunner…so watch this space!
