WOW Film Festival presents a very special fundraiser for the HAITI KIDS KINO PROJECT with a free screening of Jeff Bridge’s Oscar nominated film Crazy Heart courtesy of BAFTA Cymru. Great raffle prizes too including a package of DVDs from Fox and a fab prize from Holland House and many more.
The HAITI KIDS KINO PROJECT aims to set up temporary social cinemas for
refugee children affected by the Haiti earthquakes. Come along to a free film and dip into your pockets of love for the children of Haiti.
Children in Haiti are experiencing untold damage and despair, further anxiety grows through inaction, loneliness and boredom. The Cube Cinema’s HAITI KIDS KINO PROJECT is a goodwill project to provide a small opening for escape, community, emotion and social occasion.

Q&A Director Simon Chambers and star Shahanara Begum of Every Good Marriage Begins With Tears at Chapter, The Courtyard and Theatr Mwldan
Star Shahanara Begum & Director Simon Chambers will introduce the screenings of Every Good Marriage Begins With Tears and answer questions afterwards at Chapter Arts Centre on Monday 8 March at 8.15 and Theatr Mwldan on Saturday 6 March at 6.30 where there will be Indian snacks and speciality Indian cuisine in Cafe Mwldan after the screening.
Every Good Marriage Begins with Tears (15) explores the arcane intricacies of Bangladeshi family traditions at first-hand by following his two young East End neighbours, feisty Shanara and her younger, more submissive sister, Hushnara, as they undertake arranged marriages. The result is a funny, intimate, moving portrait of how two British Asian girls cope very differently with the conflicting demands made on them by society.
